Charm City

Journalist H.L. Mencken dubbed Baltimore the “Charm City” – a nod to its iconic row houses and charming neighborhoods.
Baltimore is a vibrant waterfront city that is “walkable” for visitors. With restaurants, shops, hotels, attractions and museums in close proximity of each other, Baltimore is easy to navigate by foot or hop on/off the free Charm City Circulator.

There are more than 130 attractions in Baltimore from the beginnings of the American railroad to Fort McHenry where during the War of 1812 Francis Scott Key was inspired to pen the Star Spangled Banner.

Be sure to stop at the Baltimore Visitor Center (401 Light Street) for brochures, maps, and friendly "Charmers" to help you plan your visit.
